Harness

The Kriega R20 motorcycle backpack has been designed specifically as an ‘active’ riding pack with our unique QUADLOC-lite harness system. The harness is angled away from underarms for total freedom of movement and once set, the pack is exceptionally convenient to use with none of the harness re-adjustment necessary on conventional harness systems.

The size adjustable harness allows the backpack position to be moved up or down to produce the best possible fit. The Kriega R20 can be worn with or without a waist strap. The waist strap is not really necessary for street riding.

Fitting

The pack is supplied pre-set to level 2. Move to level 3 for XL fit and for XS fit move to level 1.

Firstly, push the harness strap back into the pack, to release the harness-web tension.

Shorten or lengthen harness by moving slider buckle on web (equal both sides).

Pull harness strap back out of pack, to tension harness web.

Put on pack and adjust fit as on a conventional harness. Do not over tighten - tidy loose ends under elastic loops. Once set, the harness do not need to be re-adjusted each time as the pack ergonomics allow the harness to open wide for arm access.

US-5

Increase capacity by 5 liters by adding a US-5 Drypack. US-5 is reversible - zip or mesh pocket (see US-5 link below).

Fitting instructions: Thread 2 x US-5 fitting straps through the web-loops on the front of the R20 and buckle up.

US-10

Increase capacity by 10 litres by adding a US-10 drypack (see US-10 link below).

Fitting instructions: Remove one buckle off each US-10 fitting straps. Thread free end through the web-loops on the front of the R20, replace strap keepers and clip, then clip into place and tighten compression straps.

Kube Pocket

Optional 0.5 litre harness pocket. YKK water-resistant zip and 3M Scotchlite reflective print (see Kube pocket link below).

Kriega R20 backpack 5 star rating

I have been using a hand-me-down alpinstars backpack for a good portion of this riding season. I chose to use a backpack for multiple reasons. Riding a Triumph Daytona, I am very much against insulting the bikes good looks with luggage racks. The backpack is a riders "purse" if you will. Having all of your items with you at all times is priceless. As I realized how much I loved using a backpack I set out to find the BEST one. I first came across Citizen Messenger bags. Top quality bags for bicyclist so I figured id give its shot. I received the pack and the same day returned it... Was not MEANT for a rider. Upon searching the forums I came across this weird name multiple times...."Kriega". Even after purposely looking for a negative on this company I found none. Did some research and purchased the R20. I was rather fond of the R25 but I found the strapping system to be too "purpose" built for my usage since I will be using this during school as ! well. Now on to my product review. I received the R20 in a very quick manner, when I opened the box my exact words were, "NICE....". The material "gives" unlike many other backpacks in where they use a tough canvas like material. But don't think the kriega is not durable because you get an immediate sense of durability as well. Zippers are smooth and give positive feedback. Does not contain a bunch of useless pockets but rather four useful separations. Once put on it becomes almost a part of you, in essence it is one of the most comfortable packs iv put on. I was content with the R20 until I started commuting to work. My daily carry consisted of a pair of crocs, dress pants, two dress shirts, and a couple of bags of protein. I was able to accomplish this but I must say the bag was at its limit. In search for a solution I purchased the US10. Versatility is a huge thing when it comes to motorcycling and thats where Kreiga shines. The US10 allows me to use ! it as a seat pack, attached to my backpack, or as a tank bag. ! I find m yself often just using the US10 for everyday riding in the heat due to nothing added to my body to hold the hot summer air in :). I am now set because the US10 holds my crocs perfectly and my clothes go in my pack with plenty of room to spare. Let me close by saying I have never done this for a company before. I firmly believe this company is the best at what they do. Spreading the word to my fellow riders, enjoy your purchase!!

Not only for biking ! 5 star rating

Just wanted to say that I have a bike and this is the best rucksack I've had but I also have the combo 40l set for big trips so when I booked to trek to Everest base camp I didnt buy a new rucksack I just used the R20 with my US10 attached and it performed fantasticly with no shoulder pull carrying a 3L water bladder down jacket waterproofs and I guessed it weighed 15kg? and it had a hard time in 3 weeks trekking with no rips breaks tears. Even the R.M commando's on the trip said it was great kit to thier std stuff !

motorcycle specific backpack 5 star rating

Just a heads up on these for anyone in the market for a motorcycle-specific backpack. I bought the R20 (20 litre) model a couple of months ago and can highly recommend them. The "Quadloc" system they use does take the weight off as the blurb suggests and I have been in a downpour and everything inside was as dry as a Nun's nasty. They might be a bit on the expensive side, but if you use a backpack regularly like I do it's worth the investment.
