Fitting
The Kriega R30 waterproof motorcycle backpack is supplied pre-adjusted to level-2 on the harness straps. This harness position will fit the majority of riders. Adjust to level 1 for XS and level 3 for XL fit.
Step 1: Firstly push the harness strap back into the pack to release the harness-web tension.
Step 2: Shorten or lengthen harness by moving slider on web - equal both sides.
Step 3: Pull harness strap back out of pack to tension harness-web.
Put on pack and fasten front 2 x harness buckles. Adjust alloy buckles on hip wings by lifting and pulling the nylon cord. Tighten alloy buckles so the wings grip the sides of your torso. The top harness straps should not be a close fit, but not too tight.
US-5
Increase capacity by 5 litres by adding a US-5 drypack (See US-5 link below).
Fitting instructions: thread US-5 fitting straps through the square rings on the front of the R30. Reversible: zip pocket or mesh pocket on the front.
US-10
Increase capacity by 10 litres by adding a US-10 drypack (See US-10 link below).
Fitting instructions: Remove one buckle from each of the US-10 straps. Feed the free end through the square rings on the front of the R30. Replace the buckle and connect back to the US-10.
Kube pocket
Optional 0.5 litre harness pocket. Water-resistant YKK zip and 3M Scotchlite print. Easy to take on and off.

High Quality Bag!
There is clearly a lot of thought put into the bag, everything from waterproof, padding, and position of the bag on the chest rather then the shoulders. I'm currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan, where it rains every other day. Everything stays dry in the main compartment. Bag still looks new, just like the day I bought it several months ago. My bike is my only means of transportation on the island.
Things I might consider adding on to the bag is more reflectivity. Being in the military, we always have to wear the power ranger vests. Not cool. If the bag had some more reflective material(not over doing it of coarse) maybe we wouldn't have to wear the vests anymore. Another thing to consider, rather then have the main compartment waterproof, make the entire bag waterproof if at all possible. The water resistant outer compartments are water resistant, but it does get a little damp in there. Other then that, no complaints. I would recommend this bag to anyone. -

R30 backpack
Thank you so much for your awesome customer service. I purchased the R30, US10 and the Kube Pocket. The R30 fits well and definitely holds all my gear. The difference in comfort from my old pack to the R30 is staggering and can’t be fully appreciated until the pack is loaded up and tried on. My shoulders feel no more weight and the harness system keeps the pack from shifting around. I’ll be singing Kriega’s benefits to as many riders as I can. Great product!!

Better than 5 stars
Inclement weather and autobahn validated backpack. Nothing better, nothing more comfortable. If you want more comfort, ride without a backpack. If you want a solid, sturdy, completely waterproof pack that might also save your spine in an impact :-) then this is your only real option.

Cracking bag
Super comfy, big enough for all my gear and totally waterproof, great for toting my laptop around. A worthy investment.

Truly a spectular bag
I regularly commute 80 miles one way with a 15" laptop, a HP portable printer, files, and a carefully packed sportcoat. In the additional packs, i have my rainsuit, gloves, sundry items i carry.
It performs admirably as a well as a grocery bag. SInce it is waterproof, i will often head out, grab beer and a bag of ice and I am good to go. A 5lb bag of Ice, a tall sixpack, and two champagne bottles are about the limit unless you break open the Ice bag.
