I don't believe there is a perfect backpack/waistpack system but if there were, this would be it. I already have the R35 beast but needed something smaller that could be tank mounted, smaller & handle objects that needed to remain in a flat position. The US10 handled that task well. Now I needed something that I could quickly access without undoing the straps. Originally, I tried the R3, but realized it was too small. I returned it & Kriega was very understanding and made my return, credit & replacement a super smooth process! It was replaced by the R8.
What a great fit & attention to durable, rugged detail! The main storage space is ample for handling full gauntlet gloves & additional electronic devices. The outer, but flap covered Velcro pocket, is great for storing your cell phone for quick access. Since I use a Bluetooth connection to my cell phone, I can easily get to it if I have to change stations, etc. I use the smaller, dry bag portion to store my portable battery recharger & cable.
Loosening the bag so you can quickly get to the storage is pretty straight forward, simple & fast! Of course the product is only enhanced by the quality of the customer service. Whenever I've had to call or email, my response was usually within 24hrs. And they don't try to blame you for returning a product. No hassles. And as a rider, I like simple solutions. Kriega operates that way. The only way I won't have these products for at least 10 years (10yr warranty), is if I give them away to other new riders who may need them.
Ride safe & stay confident in knowing you have quality built accessory that is in it for the long ride. You won't be sorry you spent the funds for this!

This tool belt stays in place. Just returned from 6 days in Arizona and have no complaints about this tool belt. I could hold more then the previous belt and had not complaints about it pulling my pants down. I'm over fifty, so I like my pants to stay at my waist line. Thanks for a great product.

The bag (R8 waistpack) performed spectacularly on the trip and did not even get wet from a hail/rain squall that I went through. Kriega really is top notch gear and I will highly recommend it to all my riding friends.

I wore the R8 throughout the Dakar Rallye in 2010. It gave me ample carrying space for food and spare gloves/lenses etc as well as all the bizarre documentation you have to have with you. It got crashed and bashed and generally abused yet apart from looking a bit dusty was as good as new. It also made an acceptable pillow in my tent at the bivouac. Thanks Kriega.
